After finishing the undergraduate program in Molecular Biology at Stockholm University, Mårten Österlund went on to earn his title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology at Uppsala University in 1986.Next, Dr. Mårten headed to the famous Pasteur Institute in Paris, France, where he spent two years doing post-doctoral studies. After this, he joined the workforce, and spent many years in various managerial positions at pharmaceutical companies such as Karo Bio and Meda. During this time, he acquired an extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, gained vast experience of research and clinical development of pharmaceuticals, and took part in many successful launches of innovative products. In 2018, Dr. Mårten founded Pharma Way AB. The company is currently in the process of introducing DOT SHOT to the European and U.S. markets.

During the years in the beverage business Joacim managed to create and build up well-known brands such as Pilsner Urquell, Boddington, Gaymers Cider just to mention a few. Negotiating and establish good relations with producers and partners internationally was the key for success. Joacim was also a pioneer in Scandinavia when digital signage starting to grow as the new marketing tool.
During the last 10 years, Joacim has been responsible for Scandinavia and the Baltic states for an international advertising company based in more than 140 countries, working with some of the largest companies on the Nordic market, such as Unilever, P&G, Electrolux, Mondelez just to mention a few.
